FAQ

Below you will find answers to many of the most commonly asked questions regarding booking a session, what will take place during your session and what happens after your session is complete. If you don’t find the answer to your questions here, please contact us and we’ll get back to you quickly with an answer.

Our shortest session (Bronze package) will last roughly between 1 – 1.5 hours depending on how much setup is required and how comfortable your pet is with the whole photography process. We will always take the time to make your pets at ease because we want them to enjoy the process so we can capture the best images possible.
While it’s always easier with a well trained dog it certainly isn’t a requirement. If they know basic commands like sit or down, we can work from there. Toys and treats really help to keep their attention and get good expressions. Dogs will always be on a leash and under the owners control during the entire session unless they are in a private fenced location. Leashes (and sometimes collars) can be removed during the image editing process.
I am based out of Peterborough, Ontario and most of my clients are from the Peterborough / Kawartha Lakes area. I am quite willing to come to your home/location and have a fully portable set of studio gear that I can bring if required. Locations within 1 hour travel time from Peterborough do not incur an additional travel charge but a nominal fee may be charged for travel to more distant locations.
No. Except for special events such as horse shows and sporting events, we only offer digital images as part of our 3 main packages. Additional high resolution images can be added to your selected package. Please contact me for current pricing.
As the photographer, we retain ownership and copyright to all images taken during a session. Granting a personal use print release allows a client to use the images for social media posts, screensavers, digital frames and making prints. It DOES NOT permit use of the images for advertising / commericial use or entering contests. For these purposes, a commercial use license must be acquired. Please contact me for discuss pricing.
If you cancel your session more than 3 days in advance you will have the option to reschedule for a later available date or receive a full refund of your deposit. If you cancel with less than 3 days notice you may result in losing your deposit. If you have scheduled an outdoor session and the weather looks like it will result in poor shooting conditions, I will contact you to arrange a mutually acceptable date for a make - up session.
